2025 WorldSBK & WorldWCR calendar announced FIM

The FIM Superstock 1,000 Cup was a support class to the Superbike World Championship at the European rounds.Motorcycles with the same displacement as superbikes can run in superstock 1000 (though 1,200 cc twins were allowed for 2007). Superstock rules are much more restrictive and most components on the bike remain stock. Balaton Park Circuit and Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours will also be new additions to the six-event WorldWCR calendar. The 2025 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship calendar has been officially revealed, featuring 12 rounds at some of the most iconic circuits worldwide. The season hosted the inaugural FIM Women’s Motorcycling World Championship held as a support-class at selected European tracks.

The series runs from February to December and consists of seven rounds per season. Many notable riders have been successful on the world stage, such as Troy Corser, Steve Martin, Rob Phillis, Peter Goddard, Josh Brookes, Troy Bayliss, Anthony Gobert, Matthew Mladin, Aaron Slight, Bryan Staring, Josh Waters, and Mike Jones. This is a list of racers that took part in one or more Superbike World Championship races, since the championship was established in 1988.

Nesbitt’s best result of the 2024 season came at Cadwell Park when he finished third in race one, followed by a pair of fourths on the Sunday. McPhee joined WRP by SKM-Triumph for his 2024 Supersport campaign and secured a best result of seventh a Cremona on his way to 16th overall. Marco Melandri won more races than both Biaggi and Sykes this season but failing to score points in 5 of the last 6 races cost him the title. An Indonesian race was also proposed for the 2008 season, but this was later cancelled by the FIM,5 though it was later introduced in the 2021 season. The following year he again recorded one win, but with four further podiums and a pole position on his way to seventh overall. European Superstock 600 Championship

The FIM is also involved in non-sport activities – tourism, rallies and leisure, mobility, or sport-related activities such as women in motorcycling, technical, medical and legal aspects. Rider changes

Superbike racing is a category of motorcycle racing that employs highly modified production motorcycles, as opposed to MotoGP in which purpose-built motorcycles are used. The Superbike World Championship is the official world championship series, though national Superbike championships are held in many countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Australia and Canada. Superbike racing is generally popular with manufacturers, since it helps promote and sell their product, as captured by the slogan “Win on Sunday; Sell on Monday”. The championship uses 600 cc production motorcycles and is reserved for riders between 15 and 24 years of age. Same rules as Superstock 1000 apply, but the series is organized by FIM Europe.
